Hi Everyone! Anyone remember the movie Pretty in Pink? I’m dating myself by saying this but it was one of my favorites when I was a teen. It’s hard to believe it’s been over 30 years since that movie was released (and hard to believe that I’m old enough to reference a movie that was released over 30 years ago)! Anyway, pink is back with a bang this season and it’s showing up everywhere! I’ve seen it in everything from clothing to handbags to accessories. You name it and you’ll find it in pink! Since it’s popping up everywhere, I thought it would be fun to do a new Trend Talk post today and feature the color pink.
I personally love pink and am happy to incorporate it into my wardrobe this season. However, I know that not everyone loves this color. If you’re not a huge fan of pink but still like to keep up with trends, there are many ways you can wear this pop of color without feeling “overly pink”. You can add a pink accessory, bag or some shoes. Whatever you feel comfortable adding to your outfit will work and you’ll look great!
Recently, I spent some time scrolling through a few of my favorite online stores and pulled together this collection of pink items below. I hope these pieces give you some inspiration on how you, too, can incorporate pink into your wardrobe and hope they inspire you to embrace this color trend.

- Halogen Long Linen Blend Cardigan: This sweater is such a classic and a wardrobe staple. I have it in tan but it’s really beautiful in pink. If you live in a warmer weather climate, this linen blend is nice and lightweight and perfect for when you need a little something to keep you warm.

2. Rebecca Minkoff Chevron Quilted Crossbody Bag: I own and love this bag in the denim fabric option. It’s a great size for everyday use. I can fit my big iPhone, a small wallet and the rest of my essentials without a problem. The best part is that I can strap this bag across me and be hands free. I love that it now comes in pink. It’s the perfect accent for a neutral outfit and will give such a fun pop of color this fall!

3. Nordstrom Tissue Weight Wool and Cashmere Scarf: This item is a bit of a splurge but it looks like it would be so soft and cozy yet not too overwhelming because of the light tissue weight. The color is gorgeous and would be beautiful with a sweater, tee or your favorite coat. A scarf is a great way to add a trendy color or pattern to your existing wardrobe to freshen it up a bit!

4. Gibson Convertible Neckline Cozy Fleece Tunic: I have this tunic in another color from last season and I absolutely love it! It’s very flattering and oh so soft! You can wear it as shown in this picture or you can wear it as an off-the-shoulder top too. This is another wardrobe staple and I kind of want it in every color, including this soft pink!

5. Kendra Scott Elle Filigree Drop Earrings: I bought these earrings during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and they’re really pretty. The rose gold version is on trend and these earrings can go with so much. The size is perfect (not too big and not too small) and the delicate details are perfect!

6. LOFT Lacy Mixed Media Blouse: This top is great to wear all year round. The lace details on the sleeves are subtle yet they add just the right amount of interest to this top. I own this top in green but if I didn’t already have a similar pink blouse, I would have bought it in this color.

7. Gibson Tie Front Cozy Fleece Pullover: I have other tops by this brand and love how they’re so soft and comfortable! The tie front on this one adds a nice touch to a regular crewneck and can be dressed up or dressed down depending on what you’re doing that day. Wear it with jeans on the weekend or dress it up with some slacks for work during the week.

8. Madewell Stitchmix Pullover Sweater: This sweater drew me in the minute I saw it in the store window because of that cool fringe along the bottom. The mixed pattern is also really pretty and a nice change from the traditional cable knit sweater.

9. Steve Madden ‘Ecntrcqt’ Sneaker: I have a similar pair of sneakers and believe it or not, they go with so much more than I thought they would when I first bought them. Love how this blush pink color is the new hot neutral color. Blush is the new black!

10. AG Farrah High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans: Love this brand and style of jeans! I have them in blue denim but absolutely LOVE them in pink. The fit is great, especially if you’ve got curves! They’re not too long either if you’re on the shorter side.

11. Apple Watch Series 3 (Gps), 38mm: My favorite Apple Watch is this one with the rose gold case and pink band. A great accessory with lots of functionality!

12. LOFT Floral Lace Top: This top is absolutely gorgeous! The intricate lace design is so beautiful and the color is perfection!

13. LOFT Henley Mixed Media Shell: I have this top and love it! It’s perfect for layering under sweaters or you could even wear it on its own on a hot day. A great basic to have in your closet!

14. LOFT Faux Leather Motorcycle Jacket: Moto jackets are everywhere lately but you rarely see them in this color. How cool is this pink one?! What a fun statement piece for your wardrobe!

15. Sam Edelman Raisa Bow Flats: These shoes are at the top of my “pink” wish list! I have them in black and wish that I bought this pink velvet pair too during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They’re so pretty and the perfect everyday shoe. You can dress up any plain outfit with these and look like you’re all put together!

16. Vince Camuto Crushed Velvet Knit Tee: Speaking of pink velvet, this cute little tee is a great way to add a little pink to your wardrobe. You can wear it alone as seen here or under a jacket or sweater. Love the crushed velvet look, especially in pink!
Well, that’s a wrap! After writing this post, I’m now feeling all kinds of inspired to put together a pink infused outfit and re-watch Pretty in Pink! How about you? Hope you enjoyed reading about some of my favorite pink items for the season. As you can see, you can add as much or as little of this color to your wardrobe depending on your preferences. There are lots of ways to add a touch of pink or you can go bold with bigger pink statement pieces. Either way, enjoy and happy fall!
