Hey friends! As I’ve mentioned before, I recently joined Beautycounter in an effort to introduce safer products into my everyday routine. I’ve been learning so much about how important it is to be aware of the things we put in and on our bodies and how they affect our health. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it’s a great time to share this message with all of you at Kissed With Curves and let you know about a few things I’m doing this month related to this initiative. While I usually share fun outfits, try-on sessions and favorite beauty products here, I think it’s also important to share things that can positively impact your health and well-being. That’s what friends are for, right?!

The statistic in the image above is definitely scary and eye-opening. While I personally do not have a family history of breast cancer, I know others close to us whom it’s affected. I also lost my mom to another form of cancer almost 16 years ago and it was heart wrenching and devastating. As I get older, data like this and my own personal experiences have been making me think about the choices I make on a daily basis and what I can do going forward to make safer choices. This month I’m doing a couple of things related to Breast Cancer Awareness Month so I wanted to share them with you so you can join me too!
First, I’m hosting an online Facebook event for friends and family to “discuss” safer beauty choices. Over the course of the next two weeks, I’ll be posting bits of information in my Facebook group each day. It’s the perfect place to learn about safer beauty options and have me answer any of your questions. I’d love for all of you to join this event so if you’re interested, click the following link and request to join: Anita’a October Beautycounter Facebook Event
Second, I will be donating 10% of every Beautycounter order placed with me or on my website (www.beautycounter.com/anitapatel) in the month of October to Breast Cancer Prevention Partners. BCPP is a science-based advocacy organization that works to prevent breast cancer by eliminating exposure to toxic chemicals and radiation.
I hope you’ll join my October Facebook event! You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you’d like – the more the merrier! The event “officially” begins on Tuesday October 18th and will be a fun couple of weeks. I’ll also be doing a Beautycounter giveaway which you don’t want to miss!
