Yesterday I went into the store to try on some new items. While I was there, I snapped a few pics so I could share a new dressing room diaries post with you today!
The first items I added to my dressing room were sweaters. Lots of sweaters! I keep seeing tons of cozy cardigans all over the internet that look really cute. However, when you’re petite and curvy, it’s not always easy to find cardigans that don’t overwhelm your frame or look frumpy. Sometimes I try on these types of sweaters and feel like I’m wearing a bathrobe. Yesterday, I found a great one (that’s available in petite sizes too) and I absolutely love it! Here it is:
Cardigan | Henley Shell | Jeans
Since this cardigan comes in Petite sizes, it worked really well for me. I’m wearing it here in a Petite Medium and it fits great. It’s nice and cozy and I really like this green color. Underneath, I’m wearing a light pink sleeveless henley blouse which I also love. That’s also a Petite Medium, fits perfectly and is great for layering!
Sleeveless Cardigan | Twist Tee | Jeans | Shoes
Next, I tried on this sleeveless cardigan. I’ve seen so many others wearing this online and was really excited to try this on. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. It doesn’t come in Petite sizes so it was too long and kind of overwhelming. If you’re a little taller (I’m just under 5’2″), this sweater would be perfect. It’s just not for me.
I really liked this choker sweater. This style is very different from any of my other sweaters and would be great for a night out. I’m wearing it here in a Petite Medium and the fit is great.
I’m a big fan of stripes and tunics and this one was really cute but I think the sizing was off. I’m wearing it here in a Petite Medium (my normal LOFT size) but it was kind of tight. They didn’t have a Petite Large in store so I couldn’t try on the bigger size. If you are interested in this top, I would recommend sizing up.
Floral Top | Cardigan | Jeans | Shoes
This floral top is fun, festive and so pretty but I felt like the pattern was a little too much for my plain taste. I paired it with the first cardigan I shared above and liked that look better. For reference, I’m wearing this top and sweater in a Petite Medium.
Twist Tee | Cargo Leggings | Shoes
I love these pants! They’re more flattering than I expected and I love the cargo details! I’m wearing them here in green in a regular size 12. Surprisingly, they weren’t too long and they’re super comfortable because they’re actually made out of a very heavy knit material. I would definitely recommend these!
Tie Back Shell | Cargo Leggings | Shoes
Finally, I tried on this tie back shell with the cargo leggings from the previous photo. Love the colors and pattern of this top for fall and love that you can wear it alone or layer it under a jacket or cardigan. Wearing it here in a Petite Medium.
