Hey friends! Hope you had a great week! Today I’m writing a different type of blog post to help you get to know me a little better. I’m sharing 20 random facts about me, many of which are silly and fun. If you want to see the more official stuff or how I got started with this blog, check out my “About” page on this site. I know the photo I’m sharing seems a little strange (especially since it’s still super hot here in Florida) but once you start reading below, you’ll understand why I used it. The list below is something I shared on my personal Instagram account a couple of years ago so I modified and updated it slightly to share here today. Without further ado, here are 20 random facts about me:
- I grew up in New Jersey but now live in Tampa, Florida
- I am an only child
- I went to 2 U of Ms – Michigan for Undergrad and Maryland for Business School
- When I first met my husband, he told me he was a Duke fan. It was almost a deal breaker. (See #3 above.)
- Based on the photo above, you can see that our loyalties have now been aligned.
- My husband and I met on a blind date over the phone. In 2005, we started talking in March, met in April, got engaged in June and got married in November. Crazy, right?!
- This November we will celebrate our 12th anniversary.
- We love to travel to new places but our favorite is Hawaii and it’s one of the few places we go back to again and again.
- I love donuts. One summer we did a little donut tour in the Pacific NW from Portland to Vancouver. It was yummy.
- I went to Space Camp when I was younger.
- I used to work in NYC and walked through the World Trade Center every morning. On 9/11, I happened to go to work 15 minutes early which saved my life.
- I am happy being at home for days without ever leaving the house.
- I’ve always loved paper, stickers and anything crafty and my favorite hobby (besides shopping!) is scrapbooking.
- I’m a huge fan of Costco and was seriously SO excited when one opened a couple of miles from our house earlier this year. Over the years, I’ve bought some of the coolest and most unexpected items from there (Hello coffee table that turns into a foosball table?!) So much love for that place!
- I was once in a Burger King in Westwood, California and the only other customers in there were Will Smith and Jada Pinkett.
- I am so NOT athletic (but I love buying and wearing athletic wear).
- I love organization. In everything.
- I am a night owl.
- I’m generally a pretty practical, realistic and reliable person. I sometimes wish I was a little more wild and crazy but I don’t think I’m wired that way.
