I gathered lots of items to try on and when I hung them up, I noticed a little bit of a theme: florals and greens! Great items to wear now and transition into fall and lots of pieces that can be layered with others.
Camo Cargo Jacket | Embroidered Tee | Jeans | Sandals
The first thing I looked for when I walked into the store was this cargo camo jacket. Camouflage is a huge trend this fall and I love this jacket, especially since it comes in petite sizes. Woo hoo! The sleeves actually fit and it doesn’t overpower my frame so this one was a win! I paired it with a really cute embroidered tee which actually turned out to be really versatile since you’ll see it in many of the photos below!
This tee. Absolutely love it! Love the style, the fit and the pretty embroidered. It’s a great layering piece and is also great on its own!
Embroidered Tee | Tie Waist Cargo Pants | Sandals
I can’t tell you how many time I’ve tried on cargo pants just to find out they look awful and don’t fit…at all! I gave these a shot and was pleasantly surprised! They fit my curvy body really well without hugging all of the wrong places and they are really comfortable.
Lacy Mixed Media Blouse | Jeans | Sandals
Love the lace details on this mixed media blouse. The color is also perfect for fall and can be worn casually with jeans as seen above or with dress pants for work. Quite a versatile piece!
Floral Lace Top| Jeans | Sandals
This lace top is really pretty and the pink color is so soft and delicate. Another top that can be worn casually or to work. You definitely need to wear a cami underneath because it’s see through.
Shimmer Ruffle Sweater Tee| Jeans | Sandals
Another pretty pink top! Love the shimmery ruffles on the sleeves and love that this top is actually a light sweater material. Another top that is definitely work appropriate.
Ruffled Cold Shoulder Tee | Jeans | Sandals
You already know I’m a fan of the cold shoulder trend and love that this tee has some ruffles. This top is a nice, thick material and I love the neutral gray color.
Flowerbud Button Sleeve Dress | Sandals
I can’t decide what I think about this dress. Part of me loves it and part of me feels like it’s a bit boxy and shapeless for my figure. I’ve seen it on several other bloggers and it looks really cute. Just not sure if I like it on me.
The color of this dress is so pretty! You can’t tell from this photo but this one was actually pretty big on me and they didn’t have my size in store so I didn’t get to see what it would look like in the correct size. I do think this is a great summer dress that will transition well into fall. I also think this could be worn to work with a little jacket or cardigan on top so it could be really versatile.
Another fun dress! The photo doesn’t do this one justice but try to imagine it with heels and worn on an island! I actually saw another woman in the store wearing this dress and it’s super cute with all of the tiers. The colors are perfect for the summer and it’s a perfect dress to take on a beach vacation!
Embroidered Tee | Chambray Safari Shorts | Sandals
I also picked a few summer items from the sale rack to try on for an upcoming vacation. I struggle with shorts, especially cargo/safari shorts and I was pleasantly surprised by these. I love chambray and although these are a bit shorter than I normally wear, I like them.
Sleeveless Swing Dress | Sandals
A simple swing dress that can be worn casually or as a cover-up at the beach. Love that this style comes in petite sizing.
And last but not least, a beach cover-up! A nice, clean white dress. When I tried this on, I didn’t realize it was an off-the-shoulder dress but as you can see, I think you can wear it any way that’s comfortable. It works both ways!
