Hope your new year is off to a good start! I can’t believe it’s almost the end of January already! I’ve spent a lot of time cleaning, organizing and planning over the last few weeks and it feels really good. I recently organized my bathroom cabinets and while I was going through some old things and putting away some new ones, I thought it would be fun to share my current beauty favorites. Almost everything on this list is a tried and true favorite that I’ve been using for years. I also included a few newer items that I really love too!
Before I share my list, I first want to say that I’m definitely not a beauty expert. In fact, I’m so far from one! These are just products that I’ve tried and loved over the years and I’m sharing them in case any of you are looking for something new to try. I love all things related to beauty but honestly, I’m kind of lazy and only use a few select products regularly. I don’t wear a lot of makeup and don’t do anything fancy with my hair. When I do try to wear more makeup, I swipe some on and hope I’m doing it right!
I was recently inspired to try some new items and “up” my makeup and hair game. So, this year I’m going to make an effort to learn how to put on eye makeup (I see a lot of YouTube videos in my future!) and maybe even try to curl my hair. I’ll definitely report back on how it goes. If I learn anything cool along the way, I’ll be sure to share!

- Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser – I have very sensitive skin and this stuff never bothers me. I’ve tried some other cleansers in the past but they caused my face to breakout so I always come back to this one. I’ve been using it for over 15 years!
- Origins A Perfect World(TM) for Eyes Firming Moisture Treatment with White Tea – Another one that I’ve used for YEARS! I love the consistency of this product and the pump dispenser. Easy to use and no mess!
- Philosophy Hope In A Jar For All Skin Types – I love this stuff! My sensitive skin has acted up when I’ve tried other face moisturizers and this one has always served me well.
- Philosophy ‘amazing Grace’ Firming Body Emulsion – I usually pick up a big bottle of this body emulsion during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale each year. Such a light, pretty scent!
- It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin – This stuff helps tame the frizz in my hair and makes it shiny! I notice a big difference when I blow dry my hair without it (it’s not good!) so I keep using it!
- MAC Powder Blush – I have this staple beauty product in the color Melba and love it!
- Drybar ‘Detox’ Dry Shampoo – I was just introduced to dry shampoo this past year and have tried a few different kinds. So far, this one is my favorite and I find that dry shampoo works better when you use it with the heat from a blow dryer.
- Drybar Dry Bar Full Pint Medium Round Ceramic Brush – I bought this brush with a coupon several years ago and thought it was a bit of a splurge for a hairbrush but I ended up loving it! I loved it so much that I recently bought a second one to replace my old one!
- Trish McEvoy No. 9 Blackberry & Vanilla Musk Eau de Parfum – I’m super sensitive to scents and can’t handle many of the heavier perfumes out there. I like light, clean, fresh scents and this one definitely fits the bill! It’s not too strong and its so pretty! I’ve been wearing this one ever since I discovered it a few years ago!
- Bobbi Brown ‘Nude Finish’ Illuminating Powder – I don’t wear foundation but like to brush on some of this powder to even out my skin tone and remove any shine. Simple and easy! I have it in the color Buff.
- BUXOM Full-On Lip Polish – I recently tried this Buxom lip gloss in the color Brandi and love it! Quick and easy to apply, nice consistency and such a beautiful color!
